COURSE OVERVIEW

Accounting is the heart of every business, and this course equips you with the technical know-how the modern business world demands. You will become proficient in setting up and maintaining key systems like cash and accrual accounting, inventory records and payroll. Clear and accurate paperwork is a fundamental in business. So you will also become thoroughly versed in designing, writing and producing business documents. FNS30315 Certificate III in Accounts Administration is your first step to a rewarding accounting career. COURSE STRUCTURE

This course consists of 11 units of competency, 7 core units and 4 elective units of competency. Students must successfully complete all units to gain their qualification. Training delivery consists of formal structured training and assessment of the practical application of the theoretical knowledge acquired through the structure training over the duration of the training program.

Core Units: FNSINC301 Work effectively in the financial services industry BSBWHS201 Contribute to health and safety of self and others BSBWRT301 Write simple documents BSBITU306 Design and produce business documents FNSACC302 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers FNSACC301 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports FNSACC303 Perform financial calculations Elective Units: BSBFIA302 Process payroll FNSBKG402 Establish and maintain a cash accounting system FNSBKG403 Establish and maintain an accrual accounting system FNSCRD302 Monitor and control accounts receivable

DELIVERY METHODS & ASSESSMENT METHODS

This course is delivered in following ways: Classroom based (Face to Face) - minimum 20 hours weekly study requires Online Distance based learning Assessment is based on competency (the ability to demonstrate specific skills) and is undertaken through a combination which may consist of classroom observation, discussion, case studies, role plays & written assignments and the work placement.
